ABOUT US

Since 1952, Adventure Diving has been helping locals and visitors experience the hidden wonders of Alghero, Sardinia. We now manage a modern and well equipped Dive Center. We offer single and package dive experiences as well as beginner and advanced training and Certifications. We specialize in Cavern Diving, for Alghero is known for its subaquatic caves.

Alghero offers the richest and most untouched cave diving in the world and we are eager to share their stories with you. Our frequented Dive Sites include Capo Caccia and Punta Giglio, which are considered to be very important in the Mediterranean for their many caves and caverns and have spectacularly rich marine life.

Adventure Diving is unique as we were the first organization to manage diving centers in all of the north-west of Sardinia. And thus, we enjoy giving our divers a more intimate understanding of the geology of the caves, biology of Mediterranean marine life and history of the local area and cuisine.

In 1995, Marco Busdraghi, Director of the Dive Center, discovered the Deer Cave (Grotto of the Cervi). This half submerged ravine holds the fossils of bones of the Sardinian Deer - all miraculously fossilized in the Alghero Sea. A government research center is presently analyzing its contents, and this cave is now considered one of the most interesting paleontological discoveries in all of Europe.

The second largest island in the Mediterranean, Sardinia is surrounded by underwater caves and seaside cliffs that for which the island's diving is famous. Yet the island also has a unique culture that has developed out of both Italian and Spanish influence - one based upon an ancient civilization whose ruins are evident all over the island. Alghero provides the best of all worlds - a rich historic center that exudes a Spanish feel, a sandy coastline, a countryside strewn with ancient ruins, herds of sheep and the island's only natural lake. The city also offers diverse local cuisine, local wineries and olive farms, and much more.

Strategically located within the heart of Alghero and Porto Conte our facilities are ideal for starting your diving adventures - and we will provide you with expert local guidance to help you Plan Your Trip to ensure that you get the most out of your stay in Sardinia.
